Vision

Bahawalpur is a historically rich and culturally vibrant city of South Punjab. The population of Bahawalpur has grown significantly over the years. The green fields surrounding Bahawalpur are now part of the city's expanding brick and concrete structures. The influx of human population has decreased the flora and fauna in and around the city, which has resulted in a loss of biodiversity and natural beauty.

However, with the dedicated efforts of HA Bahawalpur, empty spaces are becoming lush green gardens and birds have started to return to their natural habitats within the city. The transformation is visible — from roadside plantations to beautifully maintained public parks — Bahawalpur is reclaiming its identity as the City of Gardens of South Punjab.

Mission

HA Bahawalpur's mission is to develop and maintain a comprehensive network of parks, green belts, and open spaces that enhance the urban environment, promote biodiversity, and provide recreational and cultural spaces for the citizens of Bahawalpur.

• Increase the city's green cover by planting indigenous tree species and maintaining existing plantations.
• Develop new public parks and upgrade existing facilities to modern standards.
• Promote urban biodiversity by creating habitats for birds, butterflies, and other wildlife within the city.
• Engage citizens and communities in green initiatives, plantation drives, and environmental awareness campaigns.
• Implement sustainable horticulture practices to reduce water consumption and promote eco-friendly gardening.
• Bring back the past glory of Bahawalpur as the premier green city of South Punjab.
